Koronadal City is fast becoming a foodie hub with
homegrown or franchised restaurants and cafes opening within the city. Bean and Grape opened late last year,
it took a while for me to be able to find time to visit and try it.
Its exam day and the ates’ are out to fetch
Browie from school. A routinely lunch followed, Bean and Grape came to mind because it’s one of the new cafes I
want to try. I don’t know the reason behind the name but with its menu, I
assumed Bean stands for coffee and Grape for its line of wine choices.
Browie been out around 10 in the morning, but we get
to fetched him past 11:30. So we got a hungry and grumpy Browie who would not
even smile on the camera. It’s a must
that we order right away, for lunch we had; White Truffle Paste, Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wing, Farfalle All'Alfonso, B&G Pulled Pork Burger, B&G Signature Tipsy Bean, Matcha Frappe, Ferero Frappe, Deep Fried Mars Bar w/ Vanilla Ice Cream, we ordered another drink that I forgot to note.
Finally after lunch, Browie’s back. Lunch was very
filling even though I just had pasta, chicken and a drink. Bean and Grape is not just a good place to hang-out & relax after work but is perfect to family lunch too. It is
located at MTSI Building, Gen.San Drive, Koronadal City, beside BPI Koronadal City.
After lunch, we went to T’nalak Bahay Kubo for my
yearly T’nalak finds. South Cotabato is a province rich with culture,
creativity and natural resources. At Protech Center, we saw an artisan making
bronze accessories, bought bangles at 3 pieces for Php 200.00. Our next stop,
the Bahay Kubo of every municipality where they display the products of their
municipality. This year finds includes; Dragonfruit Ice Cream from Tantangan, Organic Black & Red Rice and batwan (fruit used as souring agent by the Ilonggos) from Surallah.
