Morales Beach for Our Family's Annual Beach Getaway

August 20, our annual family beach getaway. It's the only birthday wish of our not so little brother. For this year beach birthday, I suggested going to the other side of Sarangani, the beach town of Glan.
This year's birth date falls on a Sunday so we decided to go on a Saturday and have Bro's birthday salubong at the beach. Morales Beach is our beach of choice because we wanted a place that is not crowded as the rest of the more famous beaches in Gumasa, Glan.
It was not my first time to visit Morales Beach. And a lot have changed since, there are cottages around and there is even a bar by the beach. But I have to say that the place is family friendly and the owners were very accommodating. We reserved the family cottage with a second floor attic and an open cottage type ground area for Php3,000.00. But one thing you have to be ready with is that there is a common comfort room and shower area. The place is not as develop as the rest of the resort in the area, which is good because the owners treat you as family.
Food is essential for a beach birthday but Browie requested for; pork BBQ, Grilled Fish, Kinilaw, Steak (must be rare) and Grilled Ribs. While we wanted to introduce Browie to our 90's favorite (hebe, langka & ube candy, caramel candy and hany). For dessert I prepared a  cathedral window in caps.

After our overnight beach birthday salubong, the celebration continued to a birthday dinner with our relatives. I was not feel well that day but I have to prepare my Browie's birthday request, a construction cake that he will decorate. And .......Ate can't say no to, but after I have made the frosting and the rest of his request, I just lay down and bed and was able to get up two days later because of fever, cough and body pain.

Morales Beach is located in Brgy. Gumasa, Glan. As you descend on the the last curve to Isla Hardin there is a rough road on the right side that goes straight to Morales Beach. Contact No. is 0907-3516809.
Celebration Date: August 19-20, 2017
