It has been years the last time I get to chat with Jing face to face. And now that she is back in General Santos City for a few days, I have to make time for it. Our friendship started over meetings and activities for the youth of Sarangani seven years ago. Now both out of Sarangani and living the life we wanted, having the chance to meet up is so precious that we have to do it now or it will end up to be just a plan.
It was raining that day, and there was an Indigenous People's activity in SM City called Kafye Blaan. The timing is right when you planned a catch-up and you ended up seeing more of your friends from Sarangani. First to bumped with Ate Jocelyn Robles, a from SARRO days, now she is helping organize Kafye Blaan. Then there was Yence, another SARRO friend.
I was so happy to have the time to meet with them. But for me and Jing is not done yet until we have eaten. It was not hard for me to choose where to eat because I have tried almost all restaurants in SM GenSan and since we are waiting for Janepril, we went to a Korean Restaurant, Dae Jang Geum.
Dae Jang Geum is a located at the 2nd Floor of SM Fountain Area. A Korean restaurant is perfect for waiting with friends because the offer unlimited side dishes. Me and Jing ended up having second rounds of the crisy dilis and spicy peanuts. Then comes Jane and our food, after an hour of chitchats and laughter, Annalie came making our lunch a little longer.
Friends may take different paths but the bond will stay forever.
