I planned and wanted it, I must keep myself awake for Lolo Boy, our driver and help him navigate on this unfamiliar road of Negros Occidental.
Port of Sagay, Negros Occidental |
That night it was a real challenge driving behind truck full of sugarcanes |
Arrived in Sagay, Negros Occidental past 6 in the evening. And we need to drive another 91.5 kilometers to get to Bacolod City, our jump.off point to the island of Iloilo.
With no time to spare we decided to have our dinner along the way. In the town of Manapla we stop to have dinner in Bulak's Restaurant. Located along the National Highway, Bulak's Restaurant is very accessible especially for travelers like us. We were so hungry by then, that we decided to order their boodle menu.
After dinner, we are back on the road. By 10 in the evening, I was lining up in the port of Bacolod City to ride a RORO going to Dumangas, Iloilo. Bacolod City is one of the busiest RORO port, a must is one ability to haggle your way through port area boys. And mind you, I have a taste of it on this trip. "Abilidad" is a must, and be very friendly because it will help you get through. And by 12 midnight, we were seated inside Montenegro Shipping Lines en route Dumangas, Iloilo.
