Left Leyte around 7:00 A.M. due to parking problem at our hotel and a lenghty cooking time of our orders in Andoks in Palo, Leyte.

Biliran is an island province in Eastern Visayas. It is one of the smallest and the newest province in the country, formelry a sub-province of Leyte. A bridge-causeway links the province to the main island of Leyte.
We went straight to Agta Beach Resort in the town of Almeria. Agta Beach Resort is probably the most popular beach in Biliran, because after we got back from Sambawan by noon, all the cottages were occupied. For us, it was the most affordable and fastest way to the island of Sambawan. We did not make any booking of sorts during our visit, it was a good thing that we came in early, because Sambawan is fast becoming the "destination" for tourist. The staff of Agta Beach Resort were very accommodating and friendly. They have contacts of boatmen who can ferry visitors to Sambawan. A boat with a capacity of 12 persons cost Php 3,000.00 only, it is a 1-hour ride to Sambawan and another 1-hour back to Agta Beach Resort.
Sambawan Island is a paradise in itself. From a distance, I can see how beautiful Sambawan is. It is a series of interconnecting stony-islets, with semi-curved white sand beach. This by far is the place I have visited that I can say no words can describe how beautiful it was. As you enter, they have an entrance fee of Php 80.00 per person plus Php 20.00 enviromental fee.
After an hour of swimming. We have to bid Sambawan goodbye, with a little prayer to God to please protect this island and preserve its beauty. We arrived in Agta Beach Resort just in time for lunch, which we ordered ahead before we left to Sambawan.
