I have always been fascinated with history. I even dreamed of becoming an archeologist or historian. Knowing over breakfast that we will be visiting "Las Casas" in Bataan, made me giddy.
Officially our first day in Pampanga. We took a two hours road trip to the province of Bataan, passing by Death March marker along the way. Before reaching the town of Bagac, we passed a marker with 0 kilometer on it. Just then a the gruesome picture of our death march heroes comes to my mind, and at this very spot they started the march that claimed many lives.
Finally we entered an old town with narrow streets directed towards the beach. And as we took a turn into discreet corner we got into a street where "guardia civil" walking around seemed to be norm.
Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, a heritage resort. Located in Bo. Pag-asa, Bagac, Bataan is a resort that preserved and restored our country's heritage houses.
